How we do this

Patients can register and book appointments online through our portal and find the best-suited health or care professional for them. Both video consultation and in person appointments can be arranged.  Patients can review 100s of health and care professionals, their schedules, their expertise, their reviews and their charges before making an appointment.

Health and care professionals can register quickly and easily, to offer their services via our platform.  All our professionals are fully registered with a governing body and undergo a thorough check so patients can rest assured that they will receive the best possible advice.

Our Story

The term MedePOD was given to denote a system where medical records can be safely stored and owned by patients who can then give access to their records when needed to health and care professionals.  Keeping records in one place allows easy access to data when needed such as blood tests, imaging, past medical records, allergies and medications. The doctor and other health care professionals are then able to give effective advice for he has good quality data available to him in a format he is used to.

POD stands for patient owned data system.

The idea was formulated  by the founder, Dr Sanjeev Kanoria. Through his 30 years working  as a senior surgeon, clinician and doctor, he realised the lack of efficiency, loss of critical information and added service friction while transferring patient data from one healthcare provider to another. He believes that patients should own their own data and created MedePOD to allow patients to retain control, whilst storing patient information in a format easily navigable by doctors.

On our platform, each healthcare provider is connected to the other, with rapid real time updates of patient data as the consultation occurs. This means transferring data from one to the other is quick, efficient and secure, cutting time wasted and confusion dealing with multiple sources of information.
